Title

As part of a planned maintenance programme for a fabric dyeing facility in Chesterfield, we were contracted to carry out a comprehensive overhaul of four pneumatically controlled steam valves.

The valves were removed by the client and transported to our specialist workshop for inspection and servicing. Upon arrival, each valve underwent a structured overhaul process, which included:

  1. Complete disassembly: All components were carefully stripped down to allow for detailed inspection and cleaning.
  2. Deep cleaning: Internal and external parts were thoroughly cleaned to remove scale, debris, and any contaminants that could affect performance.
  3. Diaphragm inspection: The condition of each diaphragm was carefully assessed for wear, deformation, or cracking to ensure reliable pneumatic operation.
  4. Precision reassembly: The valves were reassembled to manufacturer specifications using industry-approved techniques and materials.
  5. Hydraulic pressure testing: Each valve was subjected to hydrostatic testing at 1.5 times its working pressure, verifying structural integrity and leak-tight performance.
  6. Certification: Following successful testing, all valves were certified for a 12-month operational period, ensuring full compliance and service reliability.
