STEAM BOILER DESIGN + INSTALLATION PROCESS
Consultation
We work closely with plant owners, architects and contractors to ascertain operational requirements, including optimal steam energy supply. Our team will also consult on the supply of a temporary steam boiler solution to avoid the loss of energy supply during installation.
On-site Assessment
Our team makes detailed site surveys and energy-efficiency reports to identify the most cost-effective solutions for the boiler plant space. We gather key data on the placement of existing equipment and services to incorporate into the boiler plant design.
Design
Our design team offer a full CAD design service with 3D modelling to provide a visual representation of the finished boiler plant. The designs include all ancillary equipment and the dimensions and positioning of steam lines to all process equipment requiring steam power.
Fabrication
Based on our CAD designs, we prefabricate all ancillary equipment in our workshop, including hotwell tanks, blowdown receivers, and pipework. By manufacturing the boiler plant components in advance, we minimise downtime onsite during the installation.
Installation
Our engineers supply and install the new boilers, ancillary equipment and pipework in the boiler plant. Where a temporary solution is required, we connect a containerised boiler plant to the steam lines in order to provide an uninterrupted energy source during the installation.
Testing & Commissioning
The new installation is fully inspected to verify the boiler's structural integrity, ensure all safety devices, such as relief valves and pressure switches, are functioning correctly, and fuel supply and ventilation systems meet full safety requirements. Once passed, we bring the boiler online and ensure it delivers optimal steam energy levels as intended.
