BOILER RETUBING PROCESS
Inspection & Testing
Qualified inspectors carry out visual and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to assess tube condition, identify pitting or cracking, and determine root causes.
Tube Removal & Preparation
Damaged tubes are extracted for replacement. Where safe and viable, tube ends are repaired using approved techniques.
Tube Installation
New tubes are prepared to specification in our workshop. Tubeplates are cleaned and repaired before installation. Smoke and stay tubes are fitted, power expanded, and seal welded by our coded welders.
Final Testing & Documentation
All works are overseen by certified inspectors, with staged NDT and a final hydrostatic test up to 1.5x design pressure. Full documentation, including Risk & Method Statements, Material Certs, and Weld Procedures, is provided in advance.
