We were commissioned to carry out the replacement of a Low Temperature Hot Water (LTHW) boiler at a military barracks in Yorkshire, ensuring the heating infrastructure was upgraded for improved reliability and performance.

The project began with the safe removal of the existing boiler, followed by modifications to the system pipework. Our engineers:

  • Altered the existing flow and return pipework to suit the new boiler’s connection requirements.
  • Installed new isolation valves to improve serviceability and future maintenance access.
  • Installed and connected the new LTHW boiler, integrating it seamlessly into the upgraded pipework network.

As part of the installation, we also fabricated a custom stainless steel flue section, which was precisely measured and manufactured to interface with the existing chimney system. This ensured a safe and efficient flue gas discharge solution, fully compliant with industry regulations.

The project was delivered on time and to specification, providing the barracks with a modern, efficient heating solution supported by improved pipework design and robust isolation capability for easier servicing in the future.
