We were contracted to design, manufacture, and install a new main steam supply system for the fuel development building. This project involved the fabrication and installation of two custom-designed steam manifolds, as well as the integration of associated isolation valves, steam traps, and interconnecting steam and condensate pipework to ensure efficient and reliable system operation.
To optimise quality and minimise on-site disruption, our engineering team pre-fabricated the manifolds and pipework sections off-site, using precision manufacturing techniques to ensure accurate fit and alignment during installation. The on-site installation process was then carried out in full, with strict adherence to industry standards and safety requirements.
Following installation, the entire steam distribution network was lagged with foil-backed thermal insulation, improving system efficiency, minimising heat loss, and protecting personnel from high-temperature surfaces.
This project highlights our capability to deliver turnkey steam system solutions, combining design, fabrication, and installation expertise to support critical facility infrastructure.
